Oakleaf Partnership has partnered with a large, national professional services organisation who are looking to bring on board a HR Manager based in either Oxford or Bristol. You will need to travel to each office depending on which one you are based at.
As a HR Manager you will provide HR support to 2 offices, you will be delivering HR support and advice to partners and managers as well as employees, you will build strong and effective relationships and as the first point of contact for these offices be involved in the day to day operational aspects of HR. You will also have responsibility to support and lead on various HR projects.
This contract will cover maternity and will commence in April 2024
Duties:
Working closely with managers you’ll provide operational HR guidance across three locations.
You will provide advice and support to managers on employee relations issues such as performance, disciplinary, grievance, and absence.
You will use data and insight to drive the people agenda and to influence decision-making
You will support various firmwide initiatives such as check-in conversations, well-being, IIP, Graduate recruitment and planning and L&D within your locations
You will work with colleagues concerning recruitment and lead on graduate recruitment within your locations ensuring we attract the best talent and that capability is being developed
You will work closely with the graduate team about talent pipelines
Working with managers and heads of departments about succession planning
You will conduct exit interviews with leavers within your locations seeking feedback to understand any issues or trends, and making recommendations for improvements.
Keeping up-to-date with pay and benefit trends within your locations and the legal sector and highlighting any trends and issues where appropriate.
Managing wellbeing issues and supporting employees and managers as appropriate
Ad hoc project work
Required experience:
An experienced generalist HR professional, ideally within the legal sector or from a professional services environment
Enthusiasm and ability to get stuck in and to take the lead when managers lack experience or capability.
Ability to offer pragmatic and commercial advice.
Ability to consider big-picture implications when offering advice and support at location level
