Are you an experienced HR generalist looking for a role where you can make a significant impact and shape HR operations? Roundabout, a dedicated youth charity in Sheffield, is seeking a passionate HR professional to lead our HR function.
Following substantial organisational growth, we have created this new role at Roundabout. The role aims to bolster our positive people culture that aligns with our vision and values, covering all facets of people management and wellbeing, including talent attraction, HR compliance, onboarding, and engagement.
As our HR Manager, you’ll be ready to take charge from day one. Your initial tasks will include refining our policies, contracts, and on boarding processes, and developing an engaging employee handbook that encapsulates our unique culture. But that’s just the start! Next steps will be to evaluate our people activities and operations, assessing our benefits, engagement initiatives, and training programs.
Your primary objective is to enhance our organisational culture and boost team performance and wellbeing. You’ll leverage your understanding of employment law to guide line managers through employee relations. Your experience in talent attraction will be crucial in crafting engaging job adverts and descriptions. Ideally, you’ll have experience with current HR software to facilitate agile working methods. Your passion for people will shine through as you develop a people-first strategy, ensuring our team feels valued and supported at work by responding to business and employee needs and shaping people initiatives accordingly.
You’ll report directly to our Deputy CEO, collaborating closely with Payroll and Personnel but you will be the heartbeat of our HR function.
This isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to shape something from scratch. Our commitment to people means you’ll have the freedom to make a real difference. Whether you’re creating policies or championing employee wellbeing, your impact will flow across the entire organisation.
