We are seeking to recruit an experienced HR person to join our HR team and to work across several of our client contracts supporting our managers and employees.

In this role you will be exposed to all HR policies and procedures and will assist with tasks throughout all areas of the HR function. You will be required to support and guide managers offering advice and coaching where appropriate. You should be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Liaise with stakeholders to support the Calex staff and managers on all HR issues offering advice and support
Administration of core HR tasks including, but not limited to: new employee creation and inductions, updating records, handling leaver information, HR reporting, maintaining the HR portal (CIPHR), ensuring timely completion of probation and appraisal paperwork, ensuring all the correct employee paperwork is returned and documented
Assist with areas of recruitment including creating adverts, vetting applications, interviews, references, safeguarding checks and communicating with candidates and internal stakeholders
Support the HR Manager in developing new policies, business processes and HR procedures
Ordering, issuing and maintaining a log of all company equipment for new staffs
Developing skills matrices and logging competencies
Assisting with any other ad hoc HR tasks
Develop and maintain good working relationships with employees at all times
About you
Proven experience as a HR generalist or relevant Human Resources / administrative position
Have an appreciation of HR legislation including GDPR
Familiar with HR best practice including safeguarding, onboarding, induction, and EDI
Understand the employee journey and how HR best supports this
Previous experience in recruitment, disciplinaries, redundancies, Tupe’s, talent management, absence monitoring and HR systems (ideally CIPHR)
Have the ability to manage your own time
Maintain credibility by keeping up to date with new processes, best practice and legislation
Ability to adapt to changing demands and experience of working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently as well as to contribute effectively to the team
Proactive approach to your work and a desire to make a difference whilst providing a great employee experience
Strong communicator who is able to demonstrate confidentiality, care, creditability and have employment embedded passion
Good attention to details and thoroughly proficient with systems and IT
Ideally, you will have or be studying for a CIPD qualification and will be living in or able to travel to Coventry / Daventry as you will be working across contracts in these locations. We have offices in Abingdon and Slough where you will be periodically catching up with the HR team.

Salary & Benefits– circa £40k dependent on experience plus car allowance, 25 Days Paid Annual Leave, Calex Employee Benefits Package (inc. High Street Discounts, Online GP, Welfare Scheme).

This includes contacting all nominated references, as well as checking candidate ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and right to work in the UK. Employment– The successful candidate will be employed by Calex UK (www.calexuk.com). Calex are a specialist automotive training provider and provide training staff and expertise including Trainers, Developers, Digital Learning Experts, and Administrators.
