HR Consultant - Local Authority

Location: S60 1AE
Start date: ASAP
Contract duration: 2+ months
Working hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 hours p/w
Pay rate: �20.85 p/h PAYE

This is a key role supporting the HR Business Partner to deliver high level specialist HR advice, guidance and operational support to managers and employees ensuring that council policies and procedures are followed appropriately. Undertaking projects at either a corporate or service level to deliver workforce solutions and support the HRBP in the delivery of Workforce Plan objectives.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience of managing staff and complex situations, using clear judgement to advise others to do the same.
  • Ability to produce clear, structured and concise reports and public information at an appropriate level for the recipient.
  • Employee Relations - Advises on complex employee conflict issues, dealing with trade unions and third parties, understands the law relating to employing people, has experience of preparing for employment tribunals
  • Proven, contemporary HR delivery experience and sound technical expertise in employee relations legislation, case work practice and change management principles, ideally gained within a complex operating environment.
