We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at our Workington Mill. Joining us on a full-time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary and become part of our welcoming team.
Holmen Board & Paper is a Swedish company and a member of the Holmen Group. The Workington Mill produces premium paperboard under the brand Incada. Our paperboard is an integral part of the shopping experience for our clients’ customers. Since 2013 we have powered the mill almost entirely by fossil fuel free energy. We value our employees and products highly. Today we are approximately 340 co-workers. Our integrated pulp and paperboard mill is located to the west of the beautiful Lake District in the north of England.

About the role:

Our HR Business Partner will be responsible for:
Attracting, recruiting and onboarding the very best talent
Ensuring employee compensation and benefits are aligned with current and future business need
Optimising employee performance, engagement and recognition
Effective succession and talent planning
Maintaining collaborative and cooperative union relations
Developing comprehensive people policies
Providing support to people managers and senior leadership team
Shaping and delivering wellbeing & diversity, equity and inclusion across the business
What we’re looking for in our HR Business Partner:
Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
A relevant professional qualification i.e. Level 7 CIPD, HR /Relevant Degree, MBA
Strong knowledge of employment law
Strong presentation skills, confident delivering to a large audience
Demonstrable experience of leadership and people management
