As HR Business Partner (HRBP) you will be the central point of contact for partners and employees on the full spectrum of HR services. Building in-depth knowledge of the respective business areas, you will become part of the department as well as maintaining strong and close relationships with the HR team.This is a hands on and varied role in a collaborative team of 13. The role offers plenty of scope to support the business by partnering with senior stakeholders to improve business performance. We are looking for someone who can challenge and encourage change in existing working practices and behaviours.The HR Business Partner will operate at multiple levels, ranging from handling day-to-day employee relations matters, to complex matters.Role responsibilityUnderstanding and interpreting strategic initiatives such as growth plans in the designated teams;Providing expert advice on employee and partner ERissues, taking a commercial view on options;Working with financial information to look at utilisation and issues around resourcing;Supporting, coaching and upskilling line managers to deal with underperformance and challenging issues;Liaising with the Recruitment team on senior level and lateral partner hires;Managing annual activities such as talent reviews, promotions and pay review;Continuously encouraging a culture of regular feedback;Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and leaders in the business;Driving the delivery of the HR priorities whilst considering the wider firm strategy;Using experience, skills and knowledge of the HR industry to make an impact in key areas such as change management, organisational design, engagement and talent;Coaching and mentoring junior team members.About youIdeally you will be able to demonstrate;Proven experience working in HR, currently operating at Manager or HRBP level;Previous experience of working in a partnership culture – legal or professional services experience is preferable;Credibility with the ability to influence senior stakeholders;Experience of solving strategic people and organisational barriers to performance;Ability to facilitate change initiatives;Professional qualifications, or the desire to pursue one, are valuable but not essential;Excellent organisational and administrative skills;High standards and strong attention to detail;Ability to coach people managers;Enthusiastic and proactive approach;The desire to work in a collaborative team, supporting others when required; andStrong listening and problem-solving skills.25 days annual holidayPermanent Health InsuranceLife AssuranceInterest free Season Ticket LoanPension SchemeStaff Introductory SchemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeAbout usWith almost 200 lawyers in one location, we ensure our clients have the right team to help them get from where they are to where they want to be.
