Platform Resourcing are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking a HR Business Partner to join their supportive team. The company has excellent retention, provides comprehensive training and will offer career development opportunities, as well as yearly appraisals and pay rises.

The successful candidate will act as a pivotal support to the business, by providing comprehensive support to key business partners, in all aspects of Human Resource activity. This will be a HR generalist role, covering both office-based employees, as well as operational employees including manufacturing and warehouse. It is highly desirable for this candidate to come from a manufacturing/ engineering or logistics business, acting within a Senior HR Advisory role, having at least 3 - 5 years of experience within a similar senior HR role with duties such as below. Having HR related qualifications would be very beneficial but is not essential if you have demonstrable experience.

HR Business Partner Benefits:

  • Salary of up to �37,000 plus a yearly 10% bonus (up to �#####) dependent on experience

HR Business Partner Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working with and supporting the senior management team with operational HR, providing advice on all areas of recruitment, contracts of employment, employee relations, training, development and performance management.
  • To offer employees advice on HR policies and procedures, as well as relevant employment legislation.
  • Providing management support in relation to the control and management of both long term and short-term absence, overtime and holidays.
  • Analysing data to recognise trends and implement practices in order to avoid negative impacts on the business.
  • Recommending employees for Occupational Health when necessary.
  • Promotion of best HR practice by challenging, directing, supporting and influencing others within every department.
  • Supporting organisational change and resource planning.
  • Management of end-to-end recruitment and onboarding.
  • To undertake HR projects as and when required.
  • Updating and ensuring HR policies are in line with current legislation.
  • Supporting the role out of HR initiatives and organisation training programs.
  • Working on complex employee relations issues.
  • Following all company procedures and policies in line with compliance management systems, reporting any concerns of noncompliance immediately.

HR Business Partner Essential Experience/Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience working within a similar HR Advisory role, within a Manufacturing/ Engineering/ Logistics business environment.
  • You must have demonstrable experience within recruitment of staff, dealing with contracts of employment, handing employee relations and training/ development of employees.
  • Experience of handling grievances, disciplinaries, absence reviews and performance management.
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting the implementation of organisational/ policy changes.
  • CIPD qualified OR the equivalent level of demonstrable experience.
  • Excellent influencing skills.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in order to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Good time management and planning skills.
  • High-level of self-motivation, independence and self-reliance.
  • Good computer literacy and numeracy i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
  • You must be happy to travel to their Production site (a 5-minute drive from the office) to meet with Senior Production Management and carry out interviews & performance meetings with the production and logistics team.
