HR Advisor
�30,000 to �35,000 per annum, Permanent, 37.50 hours per week M-F, Bradley Stoke Bristol, Life Assurance, Share Plans, Pension, Holidays and Parking

Established for an extensive number of years, with an employee head count of 170,000 people and operating across 67 countries, this global engineering business are seeking a hr advisor to join their team in the North Bristol area. A team and business dedicated to being employee focused and being forward thinking, Working within a team of 4, this role will see you carrying out duties such as :

  • Manage the operation of all HR policies and procedures - advising and supporting managers in their understanding and practice.
  • Co-ordination of recruitment campaigns.
  • Action employee offer and contract processes and procedures in relation to internal staff changes.
  • Carry out HR induction sessions with new employees at the site.
  • Support managers with people reviews and training and development interventions ensuring appropriateness of decisions and following up to ensure ROI.
  • Support managers in implementing structural and culture change processes in their areas of responsibility. This involves development of updated/new job descriptions.
  • Complete the leaver process for employees exiting the company
  • Manage the relationship with AXA to ensure the full provision of Occupational Health and employee well-being services at the site.
  • Manage the employee absence recording process and arrange follow up as appropriate.
  • Action the employee performance Management process where necessary through supporting managers, monitoring activities and challenging lack of attention.
  • Support onsite holiday, absence and payroll activity and interface with the central payroll function.
  • Compile information in support of the site bonus scheme.
  • Co-ordinate the company disciplinary and grievance processes supporting investigations and employee meetings
  • Liaise with the HR SSC as required e.g. secondment/expatriation arrangements, internal mobility, ER advice


The successful hr advisor will have a need to hold operational HR experience and hold a good understanding of employment law. Knowledge and experience within the recruitment process, the ability to advise and guide line managers in employee relation matters and have a drive to be visible across the business. As part of this hr advisor position, you will be a vital part in bringing ideas to the table as part of the Hr team.

This would be the ideal role for someone who has worked as a Hr administrator, Hr assistant or human resources advisor within people focused environment. Industry experience within manufacturing, engineering or a supplier based industry would be beneficial but not essential.
