Colleague Support Advisor
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 PA
Experience: 3-5 years experience in HR advisory role
Job Type: Permanent Full-time (Working on-premise) 9am -5pm
Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester, UK
Job Purpose:
To provide an effective general advisory support service to a Regional Area of the Timpson Group.
To contribute to the smooth running of the Colleague Support Department through the recommendation and implementation of efficient and accurate working practices.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
To provide accurate
first class practical advice on all areas of Human Resources/Colleague
Support to our customers (Colleagues and Area Teams) including recruitment
and selection, employee relations, policy interpretation and
implementation in line with company practice, reward / recognition and
development.
To provide support on a
wide range of topics including capability, discipline, grievance,
performance management programmes and absence management ensuring action
takes place in line with Company procedures & practice.
To ensure that all
administration and correspondence relating to your Region is actioned and
confirmed within the agreed deadline and of a consistently high and
accurate standard.
To accurately maintain
the database in order for reports to be efficiently compiled.
To ensure the
appropriate implementation of Timpson policies, procedures and practices.
Work closely with the payroll & department
colleagues to maintain, communicate and ensure the effective running of
the departments administration function.
Work towards
maximising the departments usage of the department system through
auditing and adopting best practice rationale with a view to improving
efficiencies.
Play a key role in
department ad-hoc projects
Essential / Highly desirable
Experience
At lease3-5 years experience
in HR Advisory roleAbility to demonstrate solid experience in aGeneralist HR advisory role or
similar
Experience
of maintaining a computerised database
Knowledge
Up to date
knowledge of Employment Law
Knowledge
of good HR policy and practise
Ideally
CIPD Level 5 or higher
