HR Advisor
This is an exciting time to join our creative, ambitious and inclusive People and Organisational Development team as an HR Advisor in the HR Advice Hub. You will assist us in providing a comprehensive and proactive HR service to members of the university community. You will work as part of a collaborative team, supporting each other by working together in line with our University values. The team share information and solve problems together in an innovative and enterprising way, always striving to provide the best possible service to our colleagues.
About the vacancy:
This is a permanent HR Advisor role working with a variety of stakeholders in a fast paced, friendly, and supportive environment. The role of our HR Advisors isto provide innovative specialist advice on allaspects of HR policies andprocedures to colleagues at all levels across the organisation. You will be providing advice and guidance on a wide range of complex employment related issues, such as operational change management, grievances, conduct and capability and attendance management.
Each HR Advisor has their own portfolio of Schools and Services within the business and a range of subject matter expert areas. This in turn allows you to build strong relationships and collaborative partnerships with colleagues in your portfolio areas and develop areas of expertise.
About you: You don’t have to have worked in Higher Education to apply for this role, but you will possess experience of effectively managing extensive and multifaceted employee relations caseloads in an HR environment within a large, complex organisation. You will also have extensive experience of supporting and advising managers on the operational and HR implications of change.
You have experience of working in a busy team and working collaboratively towards common goals. You are looking to enhance your own personal learning and development, as well as supporting the development of those around you.
You understand the importance of confidentiality and you are a constructive, positive communicator who is capable of building rapport and confidence across a wide range of stakeholders.
