As a HR Advisor at Food Service Logistics, you will play a critical role in driving a positive employee experience, you will partner with the HR Manager and the wider management team and operate as a true HR generalist providing a comprehensive, effective, and professional advisory service to colleagues and managers.We are looking for a pro-active, forward thinking self-starter, with a people focused approach interested in driving change and promoting a positive culture of diversity and inclusion and continuous improvement.Your responsibilities Responsible for providing credible advice and generalist HR support across the network.Develop effective strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels establishing yourself as a respected and valued Advisor.Providing coaching and support to the management team in terms of performance management/capability issues.Champion the Trade Union relationship, along with the Management team ensuring a collaborative approach.Providing guidance on HR policies and processes.Heavy involvement in matters of employee relations, including absence, disciplinary and grievance meetings, advising on company policies and procedures and legislation.Support with recruitment and selection activity across the network, ensuring the balance of teams is positioned correctly.Assist the HR and Site Managers in the formulation of development and people plans to help build a strong talent pipeline.Delivery of induction training for new starters.Ensuring all elements of HR administration tasks are carried out E.g starters, leavers, referencing, plus any other ad-hoc enquires from employees, managers, or outside organisations.Maintaining accurate and up to date information ensuring HR files and systems are up to date with employee details in line with GDPR.Essential Criteria: Significant experience in complex ER casesCIPD Qualified or working towardsProven HR Experience within a similar roleCreative with the ability to make decisions and provide pragmatic advice.Takes a flexible approach to working hours (as this is a 24 hour operation).Experience working within a unionised environment would be highly desirable.Up to date knowledge and understanding of current employment legislation.Strong Microsoft package skills.Excellent organisational skills and initiative with the ability to manage the day-to-day HR process.Willingness to travel on occasion to other sites.What you'll get in return:Competitive salary Great pension scheme which increases with serviceDiscretionary bonus schemeYou are protected by a Life Assurance Policy with up to 4 x basic salary25 days annual leave, increasing with serviceEmployee Assistance helplineEye care vouchersRetail discounts all over the UK up to 20%Free car parking on siteInternal training programmes and development opportunities offered
