Within your remit you will look after circa 600 employees. This will be a fast paced and varied role where you will be responsible for providing guidance and support with HR Policy and procedures, ensure employee relations are managed appropriately, build and maintain close working relationships with stakeholders and review and monitor employee records (maternity, paternity, sickness, absence). In addition, you will promote company values, encourage engagement of others and will assist with various projects. As a HR Advisor you will have the following roles and responsibilities:
Oversee recruitment process to ensure that a fair and legally compliant recruitment process is followed throughout the business, including advertising vacancies, liaising with agencies, shortlisting applicants, conducting interviews and compiling offer letters and contracts. Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding and induction process for new hires. To provide confident, accurate, legally compliant advice to managers and employees on all HR issues via telephone, e-mail, and face to face. To offer support and guidance to managers with all aspects of employee relations, including absence management and disciplinary and grievance procedures. To ensure the maintenance of accurate and legally compliant HR and training databases. Participate in and lead HR project work. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, health and safety, and equality and diversity. Design and coordinate training and development programmes to enhance employee skills and competencies. Ensure health and safety policies are observed and adhered to. Carry out all work practices in line with the Company Health and Safety culture. Produce reports on relevant HR statistics when requested. Provide information, advice and answer queries related to company benefits including pension and health care cash plan. Management of company’s childcare voucher scheme.
