We are currently recruiting for a Choice Based Lettings Officer, to be
part of the Housing Solutions Team, this post is for six months working
37 hours per a week in a dynamic service with a vision of
preventing homelessness.
The Housing Solutions service is a customer focused service
designed around customer requirements.
In this post you will be responsible for the provision of an effective, efficient, and sensitive choice-based lettings service to our customers.
You will allocate our housing stock and registered provider stock,
and you will process incoming referrals, assess/ verify customers
housing and support needs to determine eligibility for housing.
Applicants are required to hold a relevant qualification at NVQ Level Two on the National Qualifications Framework.
We are looking for a positive, adaptable, and motivated person who wants to help move our service forward and is continually seeking to improve customer service.
Applicants must have relevant and recent experience of working in a public or housing related environment with previous experience of direct dealing with members of the public and understanding customer care issues.
Applicants must be able to interact with Members and other organisations in an assertive but tactful way. Should be articulate in expressing ideas and able to generate interest in others.
Must be able to work under pressure and sometimes having to deal with individuals or a subject matter that can be emotive and demanding.
Must be able to visit or hold appointments with individuals to determine housing need, have a willingness to make judgements, decisions and to accept responsibility. Must display an open mind and be able to challenge existing ideas to create new approaches and solutions.
