Housing Options Officer

We are seeking a dedicated Housing Options Officer to join our Clients team in Warwickshire on a 6-month contract. This hybrid role involves providing support to individuals on the housing register, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate assistance to secure and maintain housing.
Location: Warwickshire (Hybrid - 3 days in office, rest from home)
Contract: 6 months
Pay: �25-28/hr via umbrella
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals on the housing register by providing advice and guidance on housing options.
• Conduct assessments to determine housing needs and eligibility for housing services.
• Develop personalised housing plans to help applicants secure suitable accommodation.
• Provide information on available housing options, including social housing, private rentals, and supported housing.
• Liaise with landlords, housing providers, and other relevant organisations to identify housing opportunities.
• Offer practical support and advice on welfare rights, benefits, and financial management.
• Assist individuals in temporary accommodation with transitioning to permanent housing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and housing plans.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for applicants.
• Respect confidentiality and adhere to data protection legislation.
• Stay informed about relevant housing legislation and policies.

Requirements:

• Experience in housing options or a related field.
• Strong understanding of housing legislation and local housing policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
