Position: Experienced Housing Officer Location: St Helen's , UK Salary: £22,973 - £23,938 (depending on experience)
As a Housing Officer with our organization in St Helen's you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our tenants while maintaining the integrity of our properties. You will manage a caseload of tenants, oversee repairs and maintenance, and handle various administrative duties with efficiency and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of tenants, including addressing their inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and effectively.
  • Liaising with builders and contractors to arrange and oversee repairs and maintenance work, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met.
  • Conducting property inspections and assessments to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with housing standards and regulations.
  • Assisting tenants with housing-related paperwork, including tenancy agreements, rent payments, and housing benefit claims.
  • Maintaining accurate records and databases related to tenant information, property maintenance, and other administrative tasks.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and external stakeholders to support the overall objectives of the housing department.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a housing-related role, preferably as a housing officer or similar position.
  • Strong understanding of housing laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with tenants, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
