Weekend Hours: 08:00 AM to 4:30 PMKing Edward VII’s Hospital is searching for a dedicated Housekeeping Team Leader to oversee our housekeeping operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout our hospital premises.Job Summary:As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hospital. Your leadership and expertise will ensure that our housekeeping team delivers top-quality cleaning and sanitation services to create a comfortable and safe environment for our patients and staff.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate housekeeping activities to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the main hospital and outpatientsProvide training and mentorship to housekeeping staff on effective cleaning techniques and safety protocols.Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure uninterrupted service.Conduct regular inspections to identify and address cleanliness issues or maintenance requirements.Collaborate with other departments to schedule cleaning activities and minimize operational disruptions.Assist with heavy deliveries and operate cleaning machinery as needed.Provide coverage for housekeeping porter tasks during staff absences.Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and health and safety regulations.Report maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions for prompt resolution.Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, equipment maintenance, and staff attendance.Qualifications:Previous experience in a housekeeping role.Strong leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and guide a team effectively.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as carpet shampoo machines and scrub machines.Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy objects.Knowledge of infection control protocols and health and safety regulations.Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.High school diploma or equivalent qualification.*Important Note: This role does involve heavy lifting, so the ideal candidate should be physically fit and capable of handling such tasks as part of their responsibilities.In return, we offer:Complimentary lunch35 days of Annual Leave (inclusive of bank holidays) that increase with long serviceStaff Referral scheme up to £700Company pension schemeOn-going training and professional development opportunitiesSeason Ticket LoanHelp to buy a bikeFree Employee Assistance ProgrammeAccess to EdenRed and various discount retail vouchersPlease note, that if we receive a high level of applications, we may choose to close this advert early.
