Hotel Receptionist

My client is looking for a Receptionist, to join a front of house team at this prestigious hotel, located in the Rye area. Possible live in is available for this role. Part-time will be considered if you live in the local area.

As RECEPTIONIST, duties consist of:

• Being in a customer facing role. Training will be provided. This role will suit a candidate who is an engaging person, with a friendly manner and who thrives in a busy environment, as the reception area is always busy being the heart of a hotel.


• Guest check in and check out


• Assisting customers with luggage and taking to rooms if they need this help or organising for this to be done


• Answering guests queries before they arrive and when they arrive


• Greeting walk in potential customers for bedrooms and the bar / restaurant


• Answering phones and responding to emails quickly and efficiently


• Taking bookings on the phone and via computer, upselling to maximise sales


• Complaint handling in a calm manner and addressing these if you can or getting assistance from the manager on duty


• Shift work will be involved - early and late shifts


• Seeking a team player, who can and will be happy to assist wherever needed at times

The salary for Receptionist�is given as �11.44 + / per hour. There may be the possibility of live in accommodation for the full time combined role according to availability. TRANSPORT may be desirable to give more flexibility for the required shift work demands of this hands-on role if you live out in the local area.
