The Hotel is a charming country hotel with Georgian styling, nestled in the beautiful Derbyshire Countryside. Offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests seeking a relaxing getaway. or beautiful setting for their wedding or event.
The Role:
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Country Hotel Receptionist to join the team! As the first point of contact for�guests, you will play a vital role in ensuring they have a memorable and enjoyable stay. You will be expected to go the extra mile to ensure the guests stay is a memorable one.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests with a warm smile and professional demeanor.
- Check guests in and out efficiently, handling registration and payment processes.
- Allocate rooms based on guest preferences and availability.
- Answer guest inquiries about the hotel, local attractions, and activities.
- Provide excellent customer service, resolving guest concerns promptly and courteously.
- Process Post, and messages for guests and the hotel a like.
- Manage payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Take telephone reservations and bookings for hotel rooms and restaurant.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Support other departments as needed, ensuring smooth hotel operations.
- May operate the hotel switchboard and announce incoming calls.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate experience in a Country style hotel or hospitality environment (relevant customer service experience).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (or similar software).
- A genuine passion for hospitality and providing exceptional customer service.
- A positive and friendly personality with a can-do attitude.
- The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- You may wish to specify if fluency in a second language as this is a bonus.
- Highlight any specific skills you may have that will allow you to work flexibly in support of hotel opperations.�
