HORTICULTURE MANAGER REQUIRED - WELL ESTABLISHED GARDEN CENTRE - CLOSE TO BRENTFORD - �32,500 STARTING SALARY + BENEFITS (EVERY OTHER WEEKEND OFF)�

We are working with a well-established garden centre near Brentford who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Horticulture Manager to oversee the cultivation and care of plants, as well as provide exceptional customer service and guidance to the customers.�

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of plant biology, cultivation techniques, and pest management, coupled with strong leadership skills to manage a team of horticultural staff. �Duties will include:




  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the horticulture department, including inventory management, plant care, and customer service.

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant health, growth, and presentation, ensuring a visually appealing and well-maintained garden centre.

  • Train, mentor, and supervise horticultural staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

  • Provide expert advice to customers on plant selection, care, and gardening techniques, ensuring an exceptional shopping experience.

  • Monitor and maintain plant health through regular inspections, disease and pest control measures, and appropriate fertilization practices.

  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to source high-quality plants and gardening supplies, while ensuring inventory levels meet customer demand.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, new plant varieties, and best practices in horticulture, and implement innovative ideas to enhance the customer experience.



The company are looking for someone with a strong knowledge around plants and horticulture, ideally from a garden centre, nursery or landscaping background. �Previous retail experience would be beneficial. �
