About the role…
You will provide a comprehensive homelessness service to Ukrainian Nationals with a range of housing related issues on behalf of Publica and Cotswold District Council.  This will involve working with a Team of Housing Professionals to:
Create individual housing plans for every applicant which fully reflects their needs and circumstances, whilst managing and resolving caseloads for those currently experiencing a housing crisis.
Source appropriate short term and long term accommodation to assist the council in discharging its duties, whilst maintaining accurate records, both written and electronically and ensuring they are captured and recorded accurately.
You will give advice on all aspects of Housing to Ukrainian nationals living in the UK under the Homes for Ukraine Scheme, including applying for affordable housing via our Choice Based Lettings system and securing rented accommodation in the private sector
You will visit people in their Host accommodation as well as provide advice over the telephone or in the office
A key part of the role will be working with our countywide partners to ensure that Ukrainian families have access to support, benefits, health and schooling
This is a new role covering the Cotswolds, famous for quintessentially English market towns and villages built from honey-coloured stone. You will need…
GCSEs (5 A-Cs or equivalent, including Maths and English)
Experience of working in a Housing or Homelessness focused service or:
Experience of working with vulnerable people
Experience of working with people with complex needs
Experience of multi-agency working
Experience recording and dealing with data accurately and effectively
Special Conditions…
Ability to travel throughout the district and to our other Publica offices
