Are you great at working in partnership and delivering results across a range of priorities?We are looking to recruit an effective Homelessness Manager in our Housing Options and Homelessness Service, who will have a particular focus on families. The post holder will oversee housing advice services for families, as well as the provision of emergency accommodation. The post holder will also be responsible for a range of funded initiatives to support homeless families living in temporary accommodation including initiatives to work with private rented sector landlords. You will also lead on new innovations to establish new housing solutions for customers approaching Housing Options for support and advice.As an experienced Manager you will be able to demonstrate that you can effectively lead and manage a team. You will be adept at setting and achieving targets, will have contract management experience with a demonstrable ability to prevent homelessness using innovation or best practice.You will have the following:Excellent communication skills.Ability to work well under pressure and make clear, consistent decisions.Ability to initiate and manage change.Staff performance management skills.Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service.We are looking for someone with a passion for people – both employees and customers - who is able to find innovative solutions to problems and make a difference to the lives of the citizens of Derby who are experiencing housing and homeless issues.The successful applicant will report to the Head of Housing Options and Homelessness and will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external partners.
