We are recognised as the leading organisation to support and house offenders in Birmingham. You will join a highly experienced and established team as part of the overall city-wide Birmingham Scheme. Our long-standing effective relationships with West Midlands Police and Probation Service helps us to continue to offer the very best tenancy related support to those involved in the criminal justice system. In your new role, you will: The post is based in our Selly Park accommodation project offering tenancy related support to homeless ex-offenders . There will be opportunities to work in the community to support ex-offenders within their own tenancies Provide person centred support to our clients to resettle them back into the Community; leading to fulfilled lives, improved life choices, a reduction in offending and safer communities. Take responsibility for completing all essential support tasks as a Support Worker whilst maintaining Professional Boundaries and Confidentiality. Special Requirements: The post holder will be expected to be part of a 4 weekrolling rota which will include working weekends and bank holidays. You will be expected to complete on average 6/7 sleep insmonth, you will be paid additionally £88.57 per sleep in. Our staff safety comes first, our enhanced security policy and measurements ensure that all Staff is protected during their shift. You will ideally have: Experience and relevant knowledge of the needs of ex-offenders and vulnerable people and how these needs can be met. Confident to work within a small team as well as being a lone worker Be proficient in using Microsoft Office packages and maintaining accurate written records. A full Driving Licence and access to your own car is essential for this role Able to work as part of a rollng rota which will include weekend and bank holidays, you will be paid additionally for sleep ins.
