Home Flooring Sales Surveyor Department: FlooringEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: PlymouthReporting To: Store ManagerCompensation: £22,323 - £36,000 / yearDescriptionWe’re looking for a driven individual to join our team as a Home Flooring Sales Surveyor. You will work closely within the store team to help deliver both the store and personal sales targets. In your role you will be the figurehead for our home flooring surveying service while holding key relationships with both retail and flooring operations.As a Home Flooring Sales Surveyor, your role will be to assist our customers in both the flooring and furniture purchasing journey. Working with the store team you will be helping customers select both furniture and flooring products for their home, offering help, advice and recommendations to suit their needs. You will also complete home visits to measure the customer rooms of choice, further discuss additional products, fitting services and check for any preparations required ahead of flooring installation.What does the role involve?
Delivering an excellent in-store experience for our customers and offering advice and guidance to help them find the perfect flooring/furniture product.
Complete customers’ orders through our order processing tablets, take payments and process finance applications.
Visit our customers in their homes, measuring the selected areas, helping them decide on the right flooring and required services and providing them with an overall cost.
Keep up to date with recent trends and relay these and other product specific training to the store team.
Communicate effectively with your sales colleagues to assist in processing customers’ orders correctly.
Work with the sales team to deliver sales targets for both the store and yourself.
Help to make our showrooms are warm, friendly, safe environments for everyone within them.
Take part in store training activities to ensure our customer receive accurate information and are kept informed of our latest offers and promotions.
Deliver a 5 star customer experienced measured through our Trust Pilot score.
Achieve set weekly targets for in store sales and KPI’s.
Accurately take measurements of customer’s rooms and note any observations of installation requirements such as floor type and additional work involved.
Assist in achieving the overall sales targets for the store.
Who are we looking for?
Experience within a customer-facing role.
Full driving licence.
Flexibility and the ability to work across the week including some evenings and weekends
Confident and comfortable visiting customers in their homes.
Have a basic knowledge and skills of arithmetic.
Comfortable working to sales targets.
Ability to learn and be comfortable using technology such as tablets and planning software
have a strong attention to detail.
Approachable and have a desire to deliver excellent customer service levels.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills with both customers and fellow team members.
To be self-motivated and driven to achieving a high standard of work.
