History Teacher

We are currently helping one of the trusts we work with closely to find a suitable History teacher with a start date of September 2024. The school located in Peterborough are looking for an experienced Humanities teacher who can confidently teach History as well as support teaching of RE. As the successful Humanities teacher you will be an integral part of the team. You will plan, assess, and deliver outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable all young people in Key Stage 3 and 4 to learn and engage in lessons. .
Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism across History and RE
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons across the History and Religious Education that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Maintain discipline
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
