P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently recruiting a Hire Controller to join their team based in Stowmarket on a full time, permanent basis.

Job Description:

Our client is looking for someone with bags of energy, ambition, and ideally some experience of a hire-based business. They are hiring steel buildings, and dealing with construction sites, so they will need to have a practical mind.

Main Responsibilities:

* Dealing with hire enquiries from both new and existing customers.

* Processing customer orders.

* Processing and dealing with all waste tank emptying and x hires.

* Maintain professional standards of behaviour towards customers and other staff.

* Assisting the Senior Hire Controller with all hire related paperwork from internal and external drivers and maintaining all hire fleet records.

* Communicate with the hire workshop team to establish daily workflow, and customer requirements.

* May be required to take the out of hours phone home on occasions to cover colleagues.

* Assist Senior Hire Controller with monthly stock takes.

* Liaise with cabin manufacturer regarding ordering and delivery of new hire units.

* May be required to assist with transport department administration on occasions.

* Producing Purchase Orders for the hire workshop teams.

* Work as part of a team.

* Communicating effectively with customers by email & telephone.

* Deliver excellent standards of customer service at all times.

* Excellent personal organisation and administration.

* Tenacity and resilience.

* IT Skills, Word, Excel.

* Problem solving capabilities.

* Excellent telephone manner.

Working Hours:

* Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
