We’re a team where we work together to help bring developments forward, ensuring access and property information are considered from the outset; helping to support other teams across the Council.Working directly with the Senior Engineer – Adoptions, GIS & Gazetteers Officer, and Senior Development Management Engineer, along with the wider team, you will see the results of your work, the better places you will help to create and the difference this makes to users of the Borough’s transport networks.You will be supported to carry out the following duties and responsibilitiesLead officer for preparation and administration of schemes for street and property naming and numberingTo deal with multiple and complex queries and to collate and disseminate information about road adoptions and public highwaysKey adviser to other members of the Directorate and other parties in relation to highways search enquiriesTo assist in the checking and supporting administration of agreements for the alteration and/or adoption of roads (Section 38 and 278 of the Highways Act 1980)The benefits you will experience are…An inclusive and social working environment with a variety of staff networksOpportunities for flexible and agile working, we offer a hybrid model of working to promote flexible working around personal and family commitments.Generous annual leave commencing at 25 days increasing after 3 years’ service to 28 days (pro rata for part time). They are methodical in their approach, motivated, enthusiastic, well organised and show attention to detail. This person will be the primary officer within the Council for the statutory street naming and numbering function and should have the experience to support and direct colleagues.
