Cumberland Highways is therefore looking to recruit a
Highways Network Officer to our Highways Service who will: Prepare, design, and supervise highway improvement and maintenance projects.Assist Highway Network Engineers develop projects and work programmes and deliver them to given timescales and budgets.Provide technical advice and support to colleagues in respect of specifications and standards for highway design and maintenance activities.Organise the collection of highway data and records for coordination with the Asset Management Team.Determine compliance with Council policies and regulatory frameworks and ensure their application.Provide advice and support to Members on highway related matters and policy.Liaise effectively and coordinate working with colleagues across the Highways service. This is a customer focused service so personal conduct is key as is good levels of communication.Network Officers should
represent the Council's and Directorate's best interests at all times by ensuring effective communications within the Council, with external organisations and the general public. The right candidates will be flexible, hard-working, experienced & committed to ensuring all highway projects and maintenance activities are carried out to a high standard, with a focus on performance safety and quality.
