We are delighted to advertise the post of a Band 7 Specialist MSK Physiotherapist which combines both clinical and leadership opportunities in an established team. We are a large Musculoskeletal (MSK) department situated along the Western edge of the Lake District. Our service is spread among acute hospitals, community hospitals, GP surgeries and health centres with this post being located in the West of the county.Main duties of the jobYou will need to be committed to working autonomously providing evidence based assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. You will manage a caseload where patients are referred from both Primary and Secondary care and include those from the wider MSK Pathway (including our First Contact Physiotherapists and Orthopaedic triage services). We support the education of physiotherapy students from the local Universities and the development of rotational staff through our service. You will be expected to support the MSK Physiotherapy service with highly specialist skills on a day to day basis. This will include supporting static and rotational team members with autonomy, clinical skill and leadership in a busy department. CSP recognised Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy Relevant post-graduate MSc modules HCPC registered Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or evidence of Evidence of post-registration education, specifically in musculo-skeletal field, at Master's level or equivalent.
Desirable
Relevant post-graduate MSc modules or degree Clinical supervision / mentoring certificate or equivalent.
Knowledge & ExperienceEssential
Evidence of relevant post-graduate MSK courses at highly specialist level Musculo-skeletal postgraduate experience at Senior grade or higher. Proven advanced post-graduate skills in the assessment and treatment of musculo-skeletal conditions. Ability to demonstrate Leadership skills Awareness of key NHS drivers (Nationally and Locally) for change and implications for physiotherapy services in MSK care including the NHS Long Term Plan. Evidence of leading teaching of under-graduate and less experienced physiotherapists. Responsibility for an area of work, e.g. health & safety, in-service training, clinical audit, R& D. Evidence of previous involvement in clinical research/ service or pathway development in MSK clinical practice and or services. Knowledge of quality issues and CQC

Proven experience of managing a team and change management Leading and involvement with research, audit and quality improvement programmes Involvement in change management, audit or QIP. Evidence of post graduate teaching in a hospital or educational setting.
