Job Details:Environment: High SchoolAccountable To: Area ManagerRequired to wear uniform as per company guidelinesCatering Manager Responsibilities:Providing a full catering service to the children and staffManaging a team (including managing their performance, training and development, absence management and disciplinary if required)Controlling a tight budget and achieving sales targets and food cost percentageManaging client demands, client relationship developmentEnsuring all food hygiene and health and safety regulations are adhered to at all timesAdhere to existing and new working practices, methods, procedures and respond positively to new and alternative systemsFollowing safeguarding policiesTaking an active part in any unit sales promotionsOrdering products via the online portalCarry out a stock take when requiredCompleting relevant unit required paperworkInducting & training new staffParticipate in training and developmentCarry out ad hoc duties as directed by Area ManagerPerform other related duties as required to meet the on-going needs of the organisation.May also be required to cover other sites within a reasonable distanceEssential Qualifications & Experience Needed To Be The Catering Manager:Previous contract catering experience is requiredExcellent client liaison / relationship building skills are vital to this role.Must have excellent cooking skills in both presentation and taste.You will also be IT proficient.A desire to be creative and developing new ideas to keep the children interested in exploring different foods.Ability to successfully manage a teamMust have excellent organisational skillsAbility to promote a welcoming environment to our customersNeat and tidy in appearanceA 'can do' attitude, prepared to assist the rest of the teamIt will be necessary for the company to apply for a DBS check for school sitesAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
