HGV Technician Nights Aberdeen
WE ARE LOOKING FOR EITHER A FULLY OR SEMI-SKILLED HGV TECHNICIAN TO ADD SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE TO OUR WORKSHOP DIVISION.
Current opportunities for HGV Technicians:
HGV Technician Nights Based out of Aberdeen. Basic salary is £42,182pa based on 40 hours per week. OVERTIME PAID AT X 1.5 = £30.42ph.
Semi-Skilled HGV Technician Nights Basedout of Aberdeen. Basic salary is £35,048pa based on 40 hours per week. OVERTIME PAID AT X 1.5 = £25.28ph.
The position of HGV Technician involves:
Diagnosing and fault finding of any issues with the vehicles and trailers using latest diagnostic equipment.
Ensure all vehicles & trailers are maintained in accordance with manufacturers specifications, especially in relation to oil change parameters.
Ensure all parts are booked out correctly.
Ensure all legal documents are filled out accurately and on time and are readily available for processing.
Booking out time for each job that is carried out and the relevant paperwork given to the Workshop Controllers.
Ensure that best practice is always employed in relation to component replacement; repair duration; document completion.
Provide support and assist the Fleet Workshop office staff to meet and surpass all agreed targets.
Maintain a clean and tidy workplace environment.
Due to the nature of the role, Health and Safety and Safe Systems of work are paramount. You must ensure that you are following the companys health and safety policy at all times.
Essential skills required for HGV Technician:
Qualified HGV Technician up to Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and repair) or part-qualified HGV Technician up to Level 2 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and repair).
HGV Class 1 CE licence beneficial.
3 years previous experience required.
Intuitive diagnostic skills.
Ability to carry out PMI to DVSA standards.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work to deadlines and under own initiative.
