My client, a well established HGV Dealership and repairer, are looking for a skilled and experienced HGV Technician / Heavy Goods Technician / Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / LGV Technician to join their team in Tamworth.
Responsibilities of the HGV Technician / Heavy Goods Technician / Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / LGV Technician:
Ensure vehicles are maintained above the minimum standards required by the DVSA between scheduled service/inspection dates to support existing third-party servicing arrangements. Ensure vehicle chassis and associated vehicle auxiliary engine are maintained in line with the service planner and company policies Have the opportunity to work on a range of vehicles from light commercial to HGV vehicles Ensure Health & Safety compliance at all times
Required Technical skills of the HGV Technician / Heavy Goods Technician / Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / LGV Technician:
Experienced mechanic level 3 ideally NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent in Heavy Vehicles (Time served may be considered) Be familiar with diagnostic systems Have knowledge of HGV repairs and main dealer standards
Skills required for the HGV Technician / Heavy Goods Technician / Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / LGV Technician:
Ability to work unsupervised High standard of work Work well within a team as well as the ability to use own initiative Be flexible around working hours and days Complete tasks to specified timescales Be organised with day-to-day paperwork (eg job sheets and parts ordering)
