HGV Mechanic

TheHGV Mechanic / Technician position involves working a 5 day week from 07.30-17-30. We would normally expect every other Saturday morning, giving an average basic working week of 47.5 hours.
This role is normally split between working onsite at our workshop, with some diagnostic and minor repair work carried out using our company service van at customers sites.
As a HGV Truck Technician / Mechanic you will hopefully come from a time served Motor Vehicle technician background having attained appropriate City & Guilds, NVQ or B/TEC qualifications.
Role and Responsibilities ofHGV Mechanic / Technician
Carry out a wide range of defect repairs from replacing a bulb to replacing brake discs and pads etc.
Fault diagnostic and rectification using the latest manufacturers computer systems and tooling
Complete job cards and service sheets accurately and in a timely manner
Carry out routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to DVSA standard
A HGV license is desired but not essential.
Installation of our own manufactured product range to a variety of specialist vehicles
