Class 2 HGV Driver in Epping

Our client is a reputable delivery company who pride themselves on delivering exceptional service to their clients while upholding the highest safety standards. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join their team.

We are looking for a skilled Class 2 HGV Driver to transport goods safely and efficiently to our clients' destinations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of road safety regulations, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to delivering goods on time and in pristine condition. The Class 2 HGV Driver will be responsible for operating and maintaining company vehicles, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.

Hours:

Day shift - 8am - 6pm

Night shift - 7am - 7pm

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate Class 2 HGV vehicles to transport goods to various destinations.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
  • Adhere to all relevant road safety regulations and company policies.
  • Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Provide excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Uphold a clean and organized work environment, both within the vehicle and at delivery locations.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 2 HGV driving license.
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
  • Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations.
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
  • Excellent driving skills, with the ability to maneuver vehicles safely in various road and weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.
