HGV Class 1 Driver

Location: Stoke on Trent 
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Per annum
Shifts - 4 ON 4 OFF  
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver (Days) on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivery of milk to Dairies in the UK within 24 hours of collection
• Adhering to all Tachograph and WTD regulations
• Daily Vehicle Walkaround Checks
• Keeping company vehicle clean and tidy
• Completing paperwork accurately and submitting in good time after each delivery

Skills and Qualifications:

• Full UK driving licence
• HGV Class 1 driver (Class 2 would be considered)
• 12+ months HGV driving experience
• A current CPC and digital tacho
• Flexible, hardworking and self-motivated
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Completion of Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Keeping company vehicle clean and tidy on a daily basis
• Strict adherence to drivers hours and WTD
• Good communication skills as will deal directly with farmers, managers and on occasion customers
• Attention to detail is essential
• Numerical literacy is important
• Previous experience in liquid loads is desirable but not essential
