Hgv Class 1 Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Slough area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.�

Hours: Monday to Friday with occasional weekends available, 8am until approximately 5pm.�

Pay Rate: �16.76 per hour PAYE.�

Location: Slough, SL3�

Job Type: Temporary to permanent.�

The role:�

• 
  

  Up to 30 stops per day, including deliveries and collections (commercial and residential).�

  
  


• 
  

  Handling bulk deliveries with a mix of handball, tail lift, and pump truck work.�

  
  


• 
  

  Ensuring timely and safe transportation of parcels.�

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.�

  
  


• 
  

  Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.�

  
  


• 
  

  Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.�

  
  

Requirements:�

• 
  

  Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).�

  
  


• 
  

  Proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.�

  
  


• 
  

  Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.�

  
  


• 
  

  No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).��

  
  


• 
  

  Have the ability to pass a driving assessment.�

  
  

• 
  

  Full understanding of WTD legislation.�

  
  


•
