HGV C (Class 2) driver's

Wright Staff are currently looking for HGV C (Class 2) driver's for new contract starting soon !!

The opportunity – Wright Staff are proud to represent a large well known 3pl company located in Banbury.

Our client is looking for HGV C (Class 2) drivers to work on ongoing contracts throughout the year, supporting their current team distributing on behalf of brand-named fast-food outlets.

The Job – The perfect candidate will be expected to drive HGV C (Class 2) vehicle with chilled box body with tale lift the trucks are all reasonably new and are kept in like new condition. Delivery is made using an electronic pallet truck and tale lift. There is hand ball on this job as you will be expected to get the produce to the door of the fridge, through the restraint cooking area. On this job you can expect 10 to 15 drop’s per shift and will work on the same basic route each day sometimes with only small variations, this is so that you can get to know the customer’s and the localised area making the job easier as you get to know it.

A full 5 day’s training is provided (Paid), this it for health and safety, manual handling, systems and process (use of handheld scanner), PPT (electronic pallet truck) & routing through the hand held scanner, after you will be paired with one of their full time drivers to show you the route.

You will be required to work 4 shifts per week with overtime available if desired, during peak periods you will be expected to work one day at the weekend to help support the requirements of the business at busy times.

Shift length can be long but are in keeping with the law and normal start times are between 03:00am 05:00am in the morning.

Pay;

£18 per hour All hours / all days PAYE only 

** NO Limited company contractors **

You will require.

• UK HGV C (Class 2) driving licence. (new pass welcome)


• Valid UK CPC card


• Valid UK Digi Card

Minimum experience, training or qualifications required: Drivers must have their category C Licence with no more than 3 points with no TT’s, IN’s, TS, DR, or DD codes showing. You must have a valid UK Digi Card and Full CPC. They also must be physically fit and happy to deal with the public.
