If you have an understanding of and empathy with the requirements of veterans and their families, you could contribute your skills and experience to improve our beneficiaries’ quality of life.About the RoleAs a Veteran’s Community Nurse you will:Act as an initial point of contact between veterans with the resultant long-term health issues, and the NHS, integrating Help for Heroes input to the clinical pathway within the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT).Provide clinical advice and support to veterans, their families, loved ones and carers and to Help for Heroes personnel in support of charitable objects and valuesSupport the “challenging to reach” veterans within the community.Please see job description below for more details about the role.About the TeamYou will be joining the clinical team at Help For Heroes to provide community based input to wounded, injured and sick armed forces veterans. We are resourceful in finding ways to deliver what is right and fair for our beneficiaries in the healthcare domain. Our aim is to champion the wounded, injured and sick as they transition to civilian life and to do this as one team of OTs and Veterans Clinical Liaisons (VCLs).
