Job Description:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality care to patients in London. The Healthcare Assistant will work under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide assistance with daily activities and ensure the comfort and well-being of patients.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
2. Support patients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate techniques and equipment.
3. Assist with feeding and hydration, ensuring patients receive adequate nutrition and fluids.
4. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, engaging in conversation and recreational activities.
5. Monitor patients vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
6. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, including tidying rooms and sanitizing equipment.
7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
8. Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations governing healthcare practice.
Qualifications:
At least 6 months of recent experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in the UK.
Right to work in the UK (valid work visa or residency permit).
Relevant training in healthcare assistance, including courses in personal care, infection control, and health and safety.
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
