If you are ever in any doubt about the validity of your job application / offer you can contact our recruitment team directly via email at ##### Healthcare Assistant - RadiologyLondon, The London Bridge Hospital (HCA at The Shard)Full time, 37.5 hours per weekShift times: 7.5 hour shifts between 08:00 and 20:00PermanentSalary: £25,000 - £31,000 dependent on skills and experienceWe’re looking for a Radiology Assistant to join our Imaging team at The London Bridge Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.Rated as 'outstanding' by the CQC, the London Bridge Hospital campus in South East London encompasses an outpatients and diagnostic centre in The Shard; the large world-class hospital based at the Tooley Street site; Private Care at Guys, which is on the top four floors of Guys Hospital Cancer Centre; and outpatient and diagnostic centres across the City and Canary Wharf.As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll provide a high level of customer-focussed to our patients and service users, working closely with the team around you.Duties & responsibilities:Meet and greet all visitors to the Imaging department in a polite and courteous mannerAssist the Consultant Radiologists in the performance of their examinations. Being amenable at all times to a broad spectrum of requests.Register Patients using the Hospital Information system (Meditech).Schedule appointments using the Meditech scheduling system. Utilise and have and understanding of the PACS systemBe aware of the need to work at either the main Hospital department or any of the satellite departments if required. Participate in the General Administration of the department office, booking out reports, producing CDs etc.Perform HCA duties such as assisting with procedures in Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy or Nuclear Medicine.Be aware of the processes of sterile procedures, Infection Control and Clinical risk as described in the competencies set down by the Nurse in Charge.To assist senior staff (RGNs & Radiographers) as requiredAssist with procedures in any of the Imaging room as considered appropriate by the Nursing Sister and documented in the role competencies.At HCA UK we care about what you care about.
