Health and Social Care Workshop Tutor
We are looking for an experienced Health & Social Care Workshop Tutor to join our team. The Role
As a Health and Social Care Workshop Tutor, you will be responsible for supporting the teaching and learning of Level 5 Health and Social Care Apprenticeships and diplomas.
You will do this through remote delivery of a suite of specialist workshops delivered to learners via online platforms such as Microsoft Teams in an interactive and engaging way.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering workshops on specialised topics in an engaging and interactive way
Managing the reservations process and associated administration;
Sending invites to learners to attend relevant workshop session
Sending MS Teams links to all delegates
Cancellation of bookings for non-attendees to prevent elapsed bookings
Managing the MS Teams IG chat
Updating internal systems with booking information
Completion of teaching and learning reviews for all learner attendees after each workshop to record teaching and learning
Carrying out refresher and update training for internal staff members
Proactively commit to your own continuing professional development to drive continual improvement
Share best practice to improve team performance and give feedback to improve relevance/content of materials
Foster a collaborative approach across operational, quality and support teams
Promote and safeguard learner health and wellbeing
Recognise, record and report any safeguarding concerns relating to learners, adults at risk or children.
Skills and Experience Required
Competent to Level 5 in Health and Social Care including current and up to date knowledge of the standards in practice, specifically within the following areas:
-Effective communication alongside effective handling of information
-Legal and ethical frameworks in relation to confidentiality and sharing information
-Use of technology to enhance communication
-Leading professional development in adult care, including continuous development
-Leadership theories and how they fit in with a managers role, including team leadership to drive continuous improvement
-Governance and legislative/regulatory processes
-Leading and managing Health and Safety in an adult care setting/service
-Principles of effective resource management
-Legislation around equality, diversity, inclusion and human rights
-Safeguarding
legal requirements, policies and procedures around safeguarding adults and children, promoting safe care for all
-Mental Capacity Act and restrictive practice
-Person-centred approaches and partnership working
A minimum of 3 years of recent occupational competence in a management role within the health and social care sector
Ideally a minimum of 2 years experience of delivering training within the health and social care sector
Excellent planning and organising skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ideally you will hold a Level 5 qualification in health and social care and have a working knowledge of Apprenticeship delivery
Ideally you will hold an assessor qualification
