Health & Safety Officer

CK Group are recruiting for a Health & Safety Officer to join a chemical company in the aerospace industry at their site based in Shildon. This is a contract role and is due to last around 3 months.
The Company:
Our client manufactures paints and coatings for the aerospace industry.
Salary:
Circa �15.00-�25.00 per hour PAYE
Location:
This role will be site based, at our client's manufacturing site in Shildon.
Safety Coordinator Role:
Your main duties will be:

• To be the Health & Safety representative within manufacturing.
• Conducting risk assessments and writing method statements.
• Reviewing and writing SOPs for manufacturing and maintenance operatives.
• Investigating and reporting on accidents and near misses.

Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Previous experience in a similar role within manufacturing, ideally in the chemical industry.
• A NEBOSH qualification.
• Great communication skills and a fantastic work ethic.
• This role will receive minimal supervision so the successful candidate will need to be very self driven.
