Health & Safety Manager

Job Title: Health and Safety ManagerLocation: Essex Responsibilities:• Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.• Conduct regular inspections and audits of the factory premises, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.• Collaborate with department managers and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.• Provide training and educational programs on health and safety practices to ensure all employees are properly informed and equipped to perform their duties safely.• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety activities, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets.• Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in health and safety management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field.• CARES certification (would be advantageous)• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and assess potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.• Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully implementing and managing health and safety programs.To Apply:Please apply online or send CV to (url removed) for a confidential discussion
