Job DescriptionWhat do we do?Komfort divide spaces by designing and manufacturing internal glazed and solid partitions.Who are we looking for?We are searching for aHealth and Safety Managerto take the lead on all things Health and Safety. Based out of our Midlands office with weekly national travel this is a great role for someone who wants to make a real difference and lead the H&S agenda in an established business.The role will involve· Ensuring our Health & Safety Policy is applied consistently across all business and project sites.· Visiting individual sites and supporting wider Komfort team with Health & Safety issues arising on projects.· Compiling site specific risk assessments and method statements for projects· Completing appropriate checks on all subcontractors using the pre-qualifying documentation. Liaise with customers throughout the project regarding the Health and Safety aspects of the project.· Validating appointed subcontractors to ensure all mandatory documents are in place and maintained.· Advising the Conformance team of any current and emerging health, safety and welfare legislation, including evaluation options, making recommendations and generating action plans to ensure rigorous risk assessments and accident management systems are in place.· Identifying employee and sub-contractor training needs in relation to H&S.· Implementing and maintaining health and safety systems and procedures to meet specific requirements such as near misses and accident reporting in a consistent and effective manner.· Ensuring routine H&S activities and checks are carried out - e.g. review of all site risk assessments.· Investigating, or where appropriate, assisting others to investigate the circumstances and causes of accidents and take necessary steps to prevent a recurrence.· To take action to mitigate the impact and likelihood of health and safety risks throughout the business.· Leading and assisting on larger projects where required with H&S support and advice.· Carrying out unannounced site visits to ensure employees and sub-contractors are working in line with health and safety regulations and best practice standards.· Attending prestart meetings and establish / agree the safest method of delivery / install.· Monthly Board reportCar allowance or car is being offered.Qualifications and experience·NEBOSH·IOSH Grad (desirable)· Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM) (Desirable)·SMSTS (Desirable)·CSCS Card (Black) (Desirable)
