Excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager to join a leading logistics business based in Coventry. The role oversees all Health & Safety compliance, ISO accreditation's, training, incident reporting etc for a cluster of Distribution Centres.
Description
Reporting into the Head of HSEQ you will be responsible for overseeing health & safety for a number of distribution centres across the country.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert health, safety and environmental advice and knowledge to the business.
- Implement and oversee initiatives to optimise energy efficiency, reduce carbon footprint, and minimise waste generation, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainable practices.
- Lead the Environment workstream as part of our ESG agenda.
- Carrying out management system audits and inspections and managing a program of corrective/preventative actions
- Ensuring that existing certifications and standards are maintained for ISO.
- Carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and record the findings and implement changes.
- Conduct training, toolbox talks and inductions
- Act as a role model and a champion for SHE
Profile
- Proven experience in a similar health, safety, and environmental management role ideally within a logistics setting.
- NEBOSH Diploma
- TechIOSH / CertIOSH desirable
- Ability to influence individuals at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong knowledge of H&S compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
