They specialise in creating outstanding interior fit-outs for the commercial, hospitality and retail sectors. The company take pride in creating bespoke solutions for their clients and due to the quality of their work win a lot of repeat business.The company have a lot of projects on in Belfast, with many more in the pipeline. They are looking for a HSE Officer to cover these sites in Belfast, on a permanent basis.Responsibilities:Assist the HSE Manager in developing strategies and internal policies to ensure compliance with HSE legislation across all areas in which the business operatesCarry out any relevant reporting obligations in line with legislative requirementsInvestigate incidents to determine and address the root causeOversee environmental initiatives, such as waste management for all business activities, to minimise the business's environmental impactMaintain up-to-date records of incidents, training, inspections and other relevant dataContinuous monitoring of HSE performance, trend analysis and implementation of improvements to enhance environmental performanceOversee contractor management to ensure their compliance with legislationStay up to date with industry trends, best practices and regulatory changesLook for reuse opportunities for existing parts and parts within new projects in line with the waste hierarchyAttend International Synergies resource matching events to find innovative solutions for waste resourcesCalculating transport routes from stores to our recycling facility for calculation of CO2e of transportLogging stores, parts and fixtures sent/receivedManage zero waste to landfill audit Health and Safety Management: Assist the H&S Manager with maintaining the company’s ISO Management SystemAny other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental practices into daily operationsRespond to employees' concerns and implement systems for improvementsExperience:Experience working with Power BIExperience with ISO4001Track record working in a similar roleGood communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skillsSelf motivated team playerTechnician membership of IOSH or similar is idealFor further information on this vacancy, or any other Built Environment job in Belfast or wider Northern Ireland, please apply via the link below or contact Robert Apps for a confidential discussion
