We are 2,800 people working within 8 bakeries, 1 flour mill, and 2 regional distribution centers across the UK. Job Opportunity: Health, Safety and Environmental Manager
A great opportunity has arisen at Hovis for a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager at our Bradford Bakery to lead and develop all safety production activities while driving improvements within agreed safety, cost, quality, and timescale criteria, in order to optimize the use of all assets. You must ensure the site’s compliance with all relevant Hovis Ltd and Legislative Health & Safety requirements within the working environment and fully own Risk assessments and overall quality of the safety output.
Ideal Experiences / Qualifications / Capabilities
Ability to influence effectively and present at all business levels.
Demonstrable track record of success/achievements.
Evidence of accident prevention program implementation.
Proven experience in developing (& maintaining) leading metrics and driving associated culture change.
Proven ability to design and conduct H&S based training for groups of people.
Proven impartiality during investigations and/or deployment activity.
Proven experience of tactical deployment against company strategy.
Proven experience of positive engagement in H&S arena / H&S change management.
Desirable:
Experience of working in a unionized environment.
Lead Auditor.
IEMA Certification.
NEBOSH Environmental certificate.
NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
Member of Site or Company Senior Leadership Team.
