Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland the Glen Dimplex Group privately owns over 40 brands with operations in 80 countries.The OpportunityThe Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability Manager will support and further initiatives to transform our products, rethink resources, empower our people, and partner for success while laying sustainability foundations for the future.Provide Support to 2 Manufacturing plants, 2 Distribution Centers, and Corporate OfficePartner with local site leaders to develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and practices that address health and safety risks in their respective areas and align with regulatory requirements and best practicesConduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement effective control measures, and regularly review and assess existing policies to ensure continuous improvement in safety standardsLead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions while maintaining thorough records of all events and their resolutionsEnsure timely and accurate reporting of incidents to management and relevant authoritiesDevelop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety policies, practices and programsStay current on national and provincial/state-level health and safety regulations in Canada and the USAPrepare and present regular reports on key performance indicators and progress towards health and safety goalsEffectively communicate health and safety policies and updates to employees, management, and relevant stakeholders and foster a culture of safety awareness and responsibility throughout the organizationServe as a subject matter expert and key point of contact for health and safety inquiriesDevelop and implement strategies that create “safety engagement” among employees and the Plant Management teamCollaborate with the team on the development and maintenance of continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate cross-functionally to integrate sustainability principles into business operations and decision-making processesFacilitate the collection and prioritization of sustainability project and initiative ideas; drive and report on the status and progress of implementation projectPartner on and support sustainability actions with global peers as required Conduct thorough assessments of the organization's environmental impact, identifying key areas for improvement and resource efficiencyImplement initiatives to reduce waste, energy consumption, and greenhouse gas emissionsEngage with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and community partners, to promote awareness and collaboration and foster a culture of sustainability responsibility throughout the organizationStay abreast of local, national, and international environmental regulations to ensure organizational compliance and identify new opportunitiesDevelop and deliver sustainability training and awareness programs to employees at all levelsCollect and analyze relevant data, and prepare regular reports for leadership, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to communicate progress on sustainability performance and initiativesMust have the ability to work well with others with little supervision. Must be self-motivated, with high energy, an engaging level of enthusiasm, and tremendous integrity and work ethic. Ability to utilize Lean tools to continually improve processes.
