Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality ManagerAre you passionate about promoting a safe and sustainable working environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Manager.In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing the company's HSEQ function across the business, including overseeing the ISO Management System, Environmental Certifications, and other accreditations. Working alongside Operational Management Teams, you will continuously enhance our HSEQ provision. Additionally, you will have direct line management responsibility for the HSEQ Officer.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the primary point of contact for health, safety, environmental, and quality issues, your responsibilities will include:Being the go-to person for employees, Management Team members, Directors, and external stakeholders on HSEQ matters.Continuously monitoring operational activities to ensure compliance with specific environmental permit conditions and providing recommendations for improvements.Conducting investigations, recording, reporting, and analyzing accidents and near-miss incidents.Attending and actively contributing to Daily Operations Meetings with fellow Management Team members.Undertaking regular site inspections and providing detailed reports to company managers.Managing ISO drives to ensure accurate and accessible management system documentation.Preparing extensively for internal and external audits, including reviewing, revising, and creating ISO Management System documentation.Overseeing the maintenance of other company certifications/accreditations, such as SafeContractor/CHAS.Coordinating Health, Safety, and Environmental Committee Meetings (HSEQ) and ensuring follow-up actions are executed.Preparing and disseminating reports and information related to health, safety, and environmental operations.Coordinating relevant HSEQ training courses and employee personal development opportunities.Designing and delivering internal training courses on health, safety, and environmental topics.Maintaining, auditing, and reviewing Departmental Training Matrices.Completing relevant supplier tenders and assessment questionnaires.Liaising and communicating with external enforcement agencies and regulators as required.Assisting with company compliance policies related to drug and alcohol testing and stop and searches.Supporting the professional development of first-line reports.Undertaking any other duties as required.Other RequirementsPossess a higher level NVQ Level 4 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice.Hold an IEMA Associate Certificate in Environmental Management.Have a WAMITAB Certificate of Technical Competence in Waste Treatment. Demonstrate proven experience in health, safety, and environmental management, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.Possess performance management experience.Showcase exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.Exhibit confidence to lead by example and challenge unsafe behaviors or practices.Be a competent user of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Be flexible to meet operational demands as they arise.Work PatternMonday to Friday (with flexibility)Working Hours09:00 - 17:00Join our team and make a difference in our company's HSEQ function.
