HSE OFFICER – FMCG MANUFACTURING
UP TO £45,000 (DOE)
DAYS – MONDAY TO FRIDAY
SHREWSBURY, WELSHPOOL, OSWESTRY, WHITCHURCH, MARKET DRAYTON, TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE.
ABOUT THE ROLE
An opportunity has arisen for a HSE Officer to joined one of the Leading FMCG Food Manufacturers in the UK. This is a permanent position and reports into the site HSE Manager and will ne responsible for responsible for assisting in the management of the site HSE systems as well as working with employees and management to develop and maintain on site HSE Systems and Policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
the Health & safety Management System
for ensuring compliance with current legislation, industry standards and company procedures.
site inspections of all departments to proactively ensure compliance and establish a healthy cultural attitude towards health, safety and environmental related issues throughout the workforce.
in Investigations of all accidents/incidents that occur and collate all information, complete and action outcomes from accident investigations.
input, review, action and supply feedback on near misses.
assistance with all audits, internal and external.
on Safe Working Procedures, assisting departmental managers in writing and implementing new processes.
and coordinate any emergency situations.
in the management of ad-hoc departments such as; Hygiene, Site Aesthetics and Security.
when required in the daily maintenance of the Environmental Management System and ISO 14001
proactively involved in on-going carbon reduction and sustainability projects.
in the collation of water and energy meters usage, review and report findings.
daily/weekly compliance by collecting water samples, conducting odour and brook monitoring.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
You will be an experienced HSE Officer / HSE Advisor or similar, preferably with experience within Manufacturing Environment, with FMCG / Food / Drink Manufacturing being deemed highly desirable. NEBOSH Certificate / Diploma would be highly desirable, but IOSH Certificate would be essential, with training on offer for NEBOSH certification available.
