HSE Director Midlands – Precision Engineered Assemblies

Position Overview:
As part of an ongoing and more recent increase in investment, this newly created role will play a pivotal part in developing and implementing comprehensive health, safety, and environmental systems for a world-class working environment. There is also an opportunity for you to assume responsibility for other areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a companywide roadmap to HSE excellence.
Maintain all accreditations across HSE.
Use your high-profile presence across the business to raise behavioural safety and compliance, and change people behaviors.
Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards, assess safety protocols, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Collaborate with manufacturing managers and production teams to integrate HSE considerations into process workflows, equipment maintenance, and ergonomic practices.
Provide leadership and guidance to site-based HSE teams, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, industry associations, and community stakeholders on HSE matters relevant to manufacturing operations.
Develop and deliver HSE training programs to educate employees on safe work practices, environmental conservation, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field; advanced certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.
Proven track record of success in leading HSE programs within the manufacturing sector.
Comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to manufacturing operations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve HSE goals and objectives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience in managing site services responsibilities, including facilities management and emergency response planning.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
